Wedding DJ
Wedding DJ hire for celebrations that deserve more than a playlist. Music chosen around you, exceptional production and over 40 years of experience - across London, the South East and the Midlands.
Choosing a wedding DJ is one of the most consequential decisions in your planning, because the music is present in every single moment of your day. Your guests hear it as they arrive and find their seats. The drinks reception takes its atmosphere from it, dinner settles over it, and the anticipation before your first dance builds on it. By the evening, it is the difference between a dancefloor that stays packed until the last song and one that empties early and leaves the night feeling flat.
At Mighty Fine Events, we have been creating those moments at weddings for over 40 years. Our team of handpicked, award-winning DJs performs across London, the South East and the Midlands – at grand country houses, London townhouses, barn venues, hotel ballrooms and some of the most prestigious wedding venues in the country. Every booking is approached with the same level of care, preparation and genuine passion for music, regardless of the scale of the event or the size of the dancefloor.
We hold 501 five-star reviews from couples who trusted us with their most important day. We are recognised by The Wedding Industry Awards. And we are recommended by the venues that have watched us work. We mention all of this for one reason: when you are choosing someone to carry the sound and atmosphere of your wedding, you deserve to know exactly who you are booking and what they stand for.
We are trusted and recommended across the South East and Midlands – including London, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Essex, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. If you are planning a celebration in a specific county, our regional pages offer venue-led guidance, local knowledge and real wedding inspiration from couples in your area.
No two weddings sound the same with Mighty Fine Events, and that is entirely by design. Before your day we will spend real time understanding your musical world – the tracks that matter to you both, the artists and eras that define your taste, the atmosphere you want to create at each stage of the day and the guests you need to bring along with you on the journey. That conversation is the foundation of everything.
Our online playlist builder keeps the process simple and enjoyable. You can flag must-play tracks, identify the genres you love, note anything you would rather we left off the setlist, and share playlists directly from your preferred streaming service. Your DJ will take all of this and build a set that is personal from first song to last – a soundtrack that reflects who you are.
On the day, your DJ reads the room continuously – adjusting tempo, energy and direction in real time to keep the dancefloor responding exactly as it should. If the room needs lifting, they lift it. If a moment calls for something more intimate, they pull back. The technical ability to move between genres and decades without the joins showing is the foundation – but the real skill is the judgement to know what the room needs before the room knows itself.
We cover every genre and era with equal confidence – from timeless classics, Motown and disco through to house, R&B, pop, indie and everything your guests love. Whether your crowd spans three generations or the dancefloor belongs to one very specific decade, we will find the thread that connects everyone and keep it running all night.

The right production changes how a room feels. Wireless uplighters warm the space in any colour you choose. An LED starlight, chequerboard or mirror dancefloor gives the evening its focal point. Dancing on the Clouds wraps your first dance in a bed of low-lying cloud, and confetti showers, photo booths and Magic Mirrors give your guests something to remember and something to take home.
Everything is supplied, installed and run by our own team – planned around your venue and coordinated as one production. If an idea needs more space or setup time than your venue allows, we will tell you early and plan it properly, so nothing on the day is a surprise.

We are a trusted and recommended supplier at venues including Cliveden House, Blenheim Palace, Ashridge House, Queen’s House, Lillibrooke Manor, Foxhill Manor, Stanlake Park, Stoke Place, Le Manoir and RSA House. That trust is earned one wedding at a time, and we protect it by working closely with every venue team – power, access, sound and setup are agreed before the day, so nothing is improvised on it.
We are experienced with sound limiters, common at historic and listed venues, and we know how to keep a dancefloor moving within them. Wherever you are celebrating, your venue’s requirements and character shape how we set up, how we look and how we sound.

We arrive on time, dressed smartly, with equipment that looks as good as it sounds. Announcements are handled clearly and without showmanship – your DJ hosts your day and stays out of its way. Requests are managed with your preferences in mind, and we coordinate with your venue and your other suppliers so the timeline holds together from every side.
If your DJ has not played your venue before, we will visit in advance or speak with the venue team so the logistics hold no surprises – and we always cross-check timings with your venue in the week before the wedding. Careful planning is what makes a wedding feel effortless on the day.

If you are looking for a wedding DJ who will take your day as seriously as you do, we would love to hear from you. Send us a Quick Quote request with your date, venue and what you have in mind, or call us on 0800 288 8618 – we will come back to you promptly with availability and a clear, transparent quote. We always give our best price upfront.
And if you would like to meet your DJ on video before deciding anything, we will happily arrange it. A proper conversation about your day, with no pressure at any stage.

A wedding DJ carries more responsibility than most people realise. They hold the timeline, work alongside your other suppliers, manage the announcements and shape the mood of every part of the day – reading a room that spans three generations and keeping all of them in it.
That is why every DJ on our team is personally selected and briefed by our founder Mark van den Berg – voted one of the top 25 DJs in the world by DJ Magazine readers and a national judge at The Wedding Industry Awards. Our DJs are wedding specialists. They understand the sensitivity of the key moments, the importance of timing, and the difference between being present and being intrusive. Whichever of us is behind the decks, the standard is the same, because the planning, preparation and oversight behind every booking never changes.

It starts with a conversation. We offer a relaxed, no-obligation video consultation where we talk through your day, your venue, your music and the atmosphere you want at each stage – and with nothing to commit to. From there, the detail matters: what plays as your guests arrive, what carries the drinks reception, what your parents will want to hear and what you would rather we left out.
We take the time to get those details right, and we will guide you honestly where experience says something will or will not work. If you would like help choosing the right DJ or live act for your day, our music expert will happily advise on that too.

Our online playlist builder makes shaping your soundtrack easy and enjoyable. Flag your must-play tracks, note anything you would rather not hear, and share playlists straight from any streaming service. Your DJ works from all of it – alongside a music collection spanning more than 70 years and every major genre – to build a set that could only belong to your wedding. And if there is an elusive track with a special meaning, we will find it.

Some evenings call for more than a DJ. DJ Live – our most popular upgrade – adds a saxophonist, percussionist or vocalist performing alongside your DJ, live energy layered over a mixed set. If you are planning a live band, we will coordinate with them directly, managing the changeovers, equipment and volume so the night flows without gaps.
And if you are weighing up a string quartet, a magician or something else entirely, ask us. We will give you an honest steer on what actually works, drawn from years of watching what fills a dancefloor and what empties one.

Your wedding should sound like you – your taste, your people, your pace. Bring us your vision and we will bring over 40 years of knowing how to deliver it: the right music at the right moments, production that suits the room, and a team that cares as much about the quiet details as the big ones.
