What does Mighty Fine Events do?

We provide DJs, DJ Live and live entertainment, plus full event production – sound, lighting, staging, visuals and all the finishing touches for weddings, events, parties, award ceremonies etc, that make a celebration feel effortless and elevated.

Do you only do weddings?

No – weddings are a big part of what we do, but we also cover corporate events, private parties, brand activations and seasonal events.

Where do you work?

We mainly work throughout London, the South East, the Midlands and the Cotswolds, and we travel across the UK for couples and clients who want a properly delivered experience.

How far in advance should we book?

Popular dates go quickly (especially summer weekends and December), so earlier is best – but it’s always worth checking availability.

How does the booking process work

Share your date, venue and what you’re planning. We’ll confirm availability, recommend the best-fit options, provide a clear quote, then secure everything with an agreement and deposit.

Can you manage both entertainment and production in one booking?

Yes – and it’s often the best way to keep things smooth. One team, one plan, one timeline, and everything designed to work together.

Do you work with planners, venues and other suppliers?

Absolutely. We are real team players and coordinate closely with your venue team, planner, photographer and any other suppliers so key moments land perfectly

Do you carry insurance and PAT testing?

Yes – we have Public Liability Insurance and PAT-tested equipment, and we can provide venue paperwork suchs as RAMS as needed.

What happens if someone is ill or an issue comes up on the day?

We plan properly and build in contingency. We also have trusted cover options and backup equipment so you’re protected.

What’s the difference between a DJ, DJ Live and a band?

A DJ gives ultimate flexibility, DJ Live adds real live energy (sax, percussion, vocals and more), and a band delivers a fully live set – we’ll help you choose based on your space, timings and vibe.

Can we have a DJ and saxophonist?

Yes – DJ and sax is a favourite for a reason. We can tailor sets for drinks reception, dinner and the dance floor.

Can you add other musicians to a DJ set?

Definitely – percussion, vocalists, strings, guitarists and more can be added to create a “live band feel” without losing DJ flexibility.

Do you take requests and playlists?

Yes. We’ll ask for must-plays, do-not-plays, and your overall taste – then craft a set that feels like you, not a generic playlist.

How do you mix the music?

Mighty Fine Events have a team of multi award-winning DJs who can mix, read and play to a diverse crowd. We are constantly analysing the energy of the dancefloor and using our experience, programming the music to match (as well as influence) the natural ebb and flow each event has.

For weddings can you provide music for the ceremony and daytime too?

We can cover the full journey: ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening party, with the music evolving naturally through the day.

Will we speak to our DJ/performers before the event?

Yes – we’ll schedule a planning call so you feel completely confident about timings, music style, announcements and special moments.

Can you MC and make announcements?

We can provide light-touch hosting – clear, calm and confident – keeping the day flowing without making it “about the microphone”.

How do you dress for an event?

All production staff, DJs, musicians etc will be dressed appropriately for your occasion. We will find out if you have a dress code and look to match that for all performers.

Can we visit you at a performance?

At Mighty Fine Events we maintain a respectful attitude to our clients at all times and therefore wouldn’t feel it appropriate for prospective clients to attend a strangers’ wedding or event. What production services do you offer?

We provide professional sound systems, wireless microphones, dance floor lighting, uplighting, moving lights, staging, screens, photo booths, dance floors, and event power planning – from subtle enhancements to full-scale transformations.

Do you provide sound for speeches and ceremonies?

Yes – including discreet speaker setups, wireless mics and clear sound coverage so guests can hear every word (without it feeling overly “PA system”).

Can you create different “zones” - speeches, background music, and party?

Yes. Multi-area sound is a game-changer, especially in larger venues: one setup for ceremony/speeches, another for background music, and a dedicated party system later.

Do you offer uplighting and room styling lighting?

Yes – uplighting is one of the simplest ways to elevate a space. We can match colours to your styling, create warm ambience, or go bolder for the party.

What dancefloor lighting do you provide?

We can supply everything from tasteful, clean dancefloor lighting to more dynamic moving lights for a club-style feel – always tailored to your taste, venue and audience.

Do you provide festoon lighting and outdoor lighting?

We often can, depending on the setup and venue permissions. It’s ideal for courtyards, terraces, marquees and barns – especially for that warm evening glow.

Can you provide staging for bands, DJs or speeches?

Yes – staging is perfect for ceremonies, head tables, speeches, bands or giving the performance area a proper focal point (and it looks great in photos, too).

Do you provide LED screens, TVs or projectors?

Yes – great for slideshows, video messages, brand visuals, or presentations at corporate events. We’ll advise what works best based on the room and daylight levels.

Can you handle microphones and audio for live musicians?

Absolutely. We’ll spec the right microphones and mixing so live elements sound polished and balanced – not “too loud” or lost in the mix.

Do you offer special effects?

Where venues allow, we can provide tasteful special effects that enhance key moments – and we’ll always advise honestly on what’s worth it for your space.

Do you provide dancefloors?

Yes – and we’ll help you choose the right size, finish and placement for your guest count and venue layout.

Do you provide photo booths?

Yes – ideal for guest interaction and keepsakes. We can advise on the right style and where it should go so it stays busy all night.

Can you supply power and cable management safely?

Yes – we plan power requirements properly and keep cable runs neat and safe, especially important in marquee builds and larger venues.

Will your setup look tidy in premium venues?

Yes – our default is clean, discreet and confidently understated, with production that complements the room rather than cluttering it.

Can you visit the venue or liaise on logistics beforehand?

If needed, yes – and we’ll also coordinate with venue teams about access, setup times, sound limiters, power, and any restrictions well in advance.
